Travel News

How far did I travel this week?:

I traveled 72 miles this week from Limerick to Galway. This journey included traveling by walking, bus and even by train for the first time. We had to run to the train station on our way to Galway and narrowly made our departure time with only 2 minutes to spare! I blame the beautiul rainbow outside of the trainstation that caused us to lose track of time! However, the pictures were worth our close call.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

Every weekend I travel to a new region of Ireland. So far, I've been to County Clare, Killarney National Park, Dingle and Galway! Overall, that's a total of 440 miles traveled. That's a lot of time spent on a bus! One of the best parts about travelling is getting to know the people you're travelling with. Several times, our journeys have ended with heartfelt jam sessions and new friends.

How did I get around this week?:

I walked to all of my classes, grocery stores and restaurants this week. I used the bus to get to and from the train station, and the train took me the majority of the way to Galway.

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:

I stopped at a craft gallery in Galway that sold cothes from the 1970s and jewelry from the 1950s. It was so interesting to try on vintage outfits and admire the luxurious broaches from these eras!
