This week began with winds that shook our entire apartment! Walking the half mile to class left people's hair disheveled and umbrellas broken. The rest of this week alternated between rain showers and rare glimpses of sun. I've learned not to leave the house with out a raincoat just to be safe.
During our trup to Galway, we stopped at the city's beautiful cathedral. Right next to the cathedral was a small pond full of ducks and swans. The scenery was a peaceful sanctuary in an otherwise bustling city. While walking through downtown Galway, I noticed that most people walking their dogs did not use leashes. It was amazing to see how well-behaved these animals were. As they followed their owners down the streets, many dogs stopped for a brief scratch behind the ear from strangers. It made my day to be able to interact with some sweet animals- especially because I miss my animals at home so much!
