For New Year’s Eve, my friends and I went to Tel Aviv, about 25 km away, which is not too far. We took the train there, which takes about 25 minutes from Rehovot.
This past weekend, my three roommates and I decided to celebrate my one roommate’s birthday in Bucharest, Romania! Romania is a country in Eastern Europe. It borders Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria and the Black Sea. It is a super short flight away and it was cheap to get a flight, so we just booked it! We were there for about two days.
I have spent a lot of my time in Israel traveling. I have ventured down to the southern part of Israel to Beer Sheva, which is a cool University town in the Negev desert, and to the north of Israel to the Golan heights, where it is beautiful to hike. I also swam in an event where you swim across the Sea of Galilee, or the Kinerat. This is a beautiful sea located in the northern part of Israel. I have spent a lot of time in Tel Aviv, the closest major city to me, and some time in Jerusalem, Israel's capital, as well. I want to really get to know the culture and the different cities of Israel and plan to spend a lot more time exploring the different parts of the country!
We have also had a lot of Holiday time in Israel.
