Currently, there are a lot of problems in the Spanish government that the president, Pedro Sanchez, is trying to resolve. I really like reading the news because it helps me practice my Spanish and learn more about how Spain's government functions. Do you know any Spanish newspapers? The two most common ones are El País and El Mundo.
I personally didn't play any sports this week, but I heard a lot about the Barcelona soccer team. Soccer (or fútbol) is similar in popularity here to American football in the United States. People dress in their favorite uniforms, throw parties, and scream at the TV to cheer on their favorite team.
Did you know that college classes in Spain are 2 hours long? I didn't know that until I got my schedule. At home, I am normally in class 3-4 hours a day, here it is more like 4-6 hours. We normally get a 10 minute break in the middle, but we do a lot of learning every day!
