Do you know what English people eat for breakfast? Before coming to Bristol, I had no idea! Since I've been here for a couple of months and connected with other students, I have learned that there is a lot of pride in an English breakfast. The best part? You can get it almost anywhere, and every place has its own twist on it! After finishing our school work, my friends and I decided to try it.
I ordered an English breakfast plate at a cafe near my dormitory. It consisted of toast, fried eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, potato pancakes, and black pudding! Black pudding is a unique type of sausage made with pork blood, fat, and oats.
It was a great meal! After working hard in the morning, I was super hungry. I love toast and eggs, and the seasoning on all the food was simple, so I could taste all the natural flavors. The black pudding was the most interesting part of the meal! I was nervous to try it, but it was savory with a tiny bit of spice.
