






Either way, we usually work until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. When the savanna is too hot (sometimes over 110°F), we have to stop for the day and head back to the truck.
I finished a book of short stories called We Killed Mangy Dog by Luis Bernardo Honwana. I also started a new book called The Sunken Land Begins to Rise Again by M. John Harrison. I read many scientific articles on South African herbivore and plant interactions.
I exercised with my gymnastic rings, but I didn’t get to play any sports or games as I don't have much free time!
We got reports of two new carcass sites that I need to investigate, but I haven’t been to them yet. We took down some camera traps and got some really interesting looks at elephant behaviors.
