It was an honor meeting him and cycling around Kangar. We rode through the impoverished villages of Kangar and donated Zakat, money given to the poor in accordance with the pillar of Islam that requires Muslims to donate 2.5% of their wealth to the poor.
I had an interesting discussion with the older students at my school about the scandal that happened in Malaysia. The former Prime Minister Najib Rizak, along with other government officials, stole $4.5 billion dollars from the government and spent it on things like parties, cars and personal items. People are calling it the biggest scandal in Malaysian history.
