Journal Entry: Hello student travelers! This is Chris, and it has taken over 24 hours of travel for me to make it to Strasbourg and meet with the rest of the Travel Club. We are finally here! I'm sure some of you have had long trips of your own, but this was long (even for me)! To give you an idea of our journey so far, work with your teacher and classmates on the following:
- Use an app like Google Maps to find out the driving distance between New York, NY and Greenfield, MA. We had to drive to Greenfield to drop off our dog because she was staying with Molly's mom while we were away.
- Next, find out the driving distance between Greenfield, MA and Boston, MA. Molly's mom was nice enough to drive us to the airport.
- Then, find out the flying distance between Boston, MA and Frankfurt, Germany. Our flight lasted a little more than seven hours!
- Finally, find out the driving distance between Frankfurt, Germany and Strasbourg, France. Even though our journey has just started, we have already been in two countries.
If you add up all of those miles between New York and Strasbourg, that's how far we have traveled already. And it's only day two of our journey!
