Fall has arrived in Milan! Mornings start chilly, around 41°F, but afternoons can warm up to about 60°F. We had a couple of bright sunny days and some gray cloudy ones, and the weekend looks rainy. I always carry a light jacket and an umbrella!
Lots of pigeons in Piazza del Duomo, ducks and swans on the pond at Parco Sempione, and squirrels running around the park getting ready for winter. Many people in Milan bring their dogs into cafés and even stores!
The trees in Parco Sempione turning orange, red and gold. Walking through the crunchy leaves with the castle in the background felt like being in a painting.
It's chestnut season in Italy! Street vendors roast chestnuts in big pans and sell them warm in paper cones. You can smell them from down the block.
