Bonjour, mes amis!

Get ready for another day in Paris. With a city so large and spectacular, it's a wonder how I manage to find my way. Thankfully, I can rely on the Paris public transport system known as the RATP (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens). This system allows residents living in Paris and Île de France to travel quickly and efficiently. This system consists of metro trains, buses and trams. The underground metro system, I have to say, though, is the most useful for Parisians. In Paris there are 14 metro trains and five RER trains. The difference between these two is that the metro trains run only within the 20 arrondissements (boroughs) of Paris, whereas the RER trains extend outside to the rest of Ile de France. By using the metro system, you can get anywhere in Paris cheaply and quickly, with a train arriving every five to ten minutes. Personally, when I was moving to Paris, I found the metro very useful for moving my stuff.

Speaking of my transition to Paris, I must say that it's been harder than expected. I have been living in France for almost eight months now and have always lived close to Paris, so I can't really say it was a difficult move.
