Reach the World and Teach For America announced today a partnership to increase the pipeline of globally-competent and diverse talent entering the teaching profession; and to connect TFA classrooms to global mentors via digital exchange. The two organizations will leverage RTW’s network of diverse and talented college travelers to engage in digital exchanges with TFA corps members and their students. The two organizations will also work together to increase awareness among RTW’s alums about the opportunity to teach full-time as a Teach For America corps member.
“Teach For America is thrilled to partner with Reach the World to ensure that all K-12 students have the skills and support to succeed in education and beyond,” says Lindy Gould, Director of Recruitment at Teach For America.
“Relationships power Reach the World’s programs,” says Heather Halstead, Executive Director at Reach the World. “RTW is thrilled to embark upon this journey with Teach For America in order to engage more talented young adults, TFA corps members and American youth in global digital exchanges.”
