Pollution and Solution(?) in São Paulo

Although this doesn't do much other than tell you if you're okay or at risk, because if you're already on the road you can't really do much about protecting yourself.

The city government is allegedly expanding the metro. But this process is very slow and my Brazilian friends tell me a lot of this construction should have been done years ago. Corporations are stepping in by providing bike and scooter rental service, which helps folks get around and not add to air pollution. However, most of these services and city bike lanes favor the richer parts of the city and therefore do not benefit everyone in the sprawling metropolis. The small steps we can see in the city give hope. But they are certainly not enough and the government would do well to invest more resources to create a better future for all who live here.
