On March 18, 2026, I and my classmates from our education class went to Padre Manjón public school. We met with 6th graders and shared what our lives are like in the United States. The school has many floors, and younger students are on the bottom while older students are on the top. This is because younger students are too small and can't walk up the stairs. We had to walk all the way to the top floor, but the school was so colorful and nicely decorated that it was worth the walk.
The students were very exicted to meet us and asked lots of questions about our lives, like our favorite music, pets and school life. We also shared presentations with the students and learned about them too. At the end, they gave us hugs and said goodbye.
One thing I noticed about the school was the playground. It didn't have slides or swings like many schools in the U.S. Also, they have physical education class outside on the playground instead of inside a gym. This is because the school is too small and they don't have a gym inside. I felt kind of sad for the students because the playground is the best part of school, and they didn't have many things to do during recess time.
