Biking is becoming more and more popular in Bogotá. After the President established the ciclovía, or the policy that closes off main streets every Sunday so that bikers, runners and walkers can enjoy them, biking culture took off!
There are tons of bikers. Some even bike in the main streets with cars. I prefer to stay on the bike paths, which luckily there are now plenty of. I can actually take beautiful bike paths surrounded by trees all the way to and from work! That's even better than my bike ride to Brooklyn!
