The European Approach to Physics

Since most of my research has been data analysis, I have found this advice to be very useful when trying to get a better understanding of the data I am looking at and when doing different data analyses.

While I still have four more months left in my research, I have found Europeans to be very detail-oriented when it comes to conducting physics. In my physics lectures, this was clear. One of my lecturers had uploaded his handwritten notes on his slides so that we could see the derivations of each equation. He also had blocks of text in his PowerPoint explaining the concept. While I appreciated this, I did miss some of the historical background of physicists and their research. My professors back in the US would almost always have an interesting fact about a law or scientist we were learning about, which I think helped make learning fun and make it easier to retain new information.
