Hwanyeong-hasaeyo (Welcome) to Seoul!

Do any of you like Kpop? If so, what is your favorite song or artist? Now, one of my favorite hobbies is to spend time with the friends I have made at school. Many of my friends come from other countries. Some of my friends are from Saudi Arabia, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, and more. My friends and I love to take road trips and have meals together. What do you and your friends like to do for fun?

Soon, I will be graduating from university. I am supposed to graduate this December. I am hoping to work in many different countries throughout the world soon. I have always loved learning about different cultures and languages. My favorite subject in school was even world history and religion! What is your favorite subject in school?

My university had very limited access to study abroad programs but I didn’t let this stop me from studying abroad. I worked closely with my school to open up a program to my dream country of South Korea. After a lot of research and paperwork, my program was finally approved. The only issue now was being able to afford to go. As you may know, studying abroad can be expensive. This is why there are many scholarships and grants available to students. The scholarship that allows me to study abroad is called the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program. You can learn more about my scholarship by clicking here!

I was never happier than when I landed in South Korea. I realized that my summer will now be filled with many amazing memories and stories. There are many differences in life between South Korea and the United States.
