La Laguna (The Lagoon) in Santa Rosa

Seeing families having asados together, children playing on the playgrounds, people on their boats and kayaks, people exercising on the path or people just relaxing and enjoying time in the sun around nature brings a great sense of community and happiness.

Where does it live?:

The lagoon is located in Santa Rosa, only about a 20-minute walk from the city center! It is owned and managed by the municipality of the city of Santa Rosa.

How does it use its environment to survive?:

This Lagoon is a great oasis for residents just a short distance from the city.

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

I believe that pollution and waste can harm the Lagoon. Currently, visitors are not allowed to swim in the Lagoon because it is not up to clean water standards. I think that some residents of Santa Rosa and visitors of the Lagoon are more concerned than others. The surrounding area of the Lagoon is currently clean and mostly taken care of, but some residents and visitors of the Lagoon do not respect this as much as others. It is important that everyone throws their trash/waste in proper garbage bins and that they respect nature, as it is important anywhere in the world.
