SS: I work for a smaller biotech company in N.Y.C. that primarily focuses on using their proprietary A.I.-based software to predict drug targets and biomarkers through splicing discovery from RNA-seq data.

Have you always wanted to be a bioinformatician? Can you tell us about your journey to this career path?
SS: I had no idea what a bioinformatician was when I started pursuing my undergraduate career. I majored in microbiology and host/pathogen interactions and intended to apply to medical school post-graduation.
