Hi, everyone! Have you ever wondered what animals do after the sun goes down? During my time in Singapore, I had the opportunity to visit the Night Safari, a wildlife park where visitors can observe animals after dark! I saw so many incredible creatures, including lions, elephants, flamingos, deer, lemurs, otters and hippos. Unlike a typical zoo visit during the day, exploring at night made the experience especially exciting.
I saw many animals, but my favorites were the river otters because they are local to Singapore. They live in packs and make cute squeaks to communicate with each other. Outside of the park, they can be seen in local rivers and even visiting backyards to hunt pet koi fish! But, you have to be careful because they're dangerous in large numbers.
I was so delighted seeing them in person! Otters are one of my favorite animals and super cute! They were a lot smaller than sea otters, which I'm used to seeing in California. They are also much darker in color and less furry.
