It is finally May, which means that it is finally time for me to end my journey in Bristol and go home! I had a lot to look forward to in California: seeing all of my friends, going to a graduation, and my cousin’s baby shower. Despite that, I loved my experience in England, and I will miss all the people I’ve met and the places I’ve travelled to.
I am so incredibly grateful for this experience and the chance to share it with all of you! I really enjoyed learning about your life in New York, and I hope your class enjoyed learning about life in another country. Studying abroad is incredible, and this is something I have wanted to accomplish for a really long time. When I was your age, I grew up hearing stories from my friends and family about their journeys in other parts of the world. That inspired me and gave me the goal of achieving that for myself. Now, I hope that you guys have that same goal. There is so much to learn, experience, and do, and seeing other parts of the world can help you learn and grow. You guys were a very curious and bright class, and that curiosity can take you to amazing places, like England!
My semester in Bristol allowed me to connect with my family here, learn in a new way, and become very independent.
