It has been an honor sharing my journey with you! Your genuine curiosity and question-asking encouraged me to explore my new home even more. As a class, you shared perspectives and reactions to new things, that inspired me to keep asking my own questions.
As we say goodbye on this particular journey, I have a question for you.
Do you like to read books or watch movies? I know I do. My favorite books are about adventures- like Roz in the Wild Robot. When I was little, I wanted to be an adventurer. Traveling around the world has allowed me to do just that and practice the traits I admire in my favorite characters. Sometimes, characters in stories are scared or nervous, but learning to push through this feeling and learn from others has given me my best moments in life! For me, learning Spanish in a new country made me really nervous. But I started by saying hello, then maybe I ordered for myself in a restaurant. Soon, I learned to say “help” to learn new words constantly, and, more importantly, ask new questions. I used to think you had to travel across the world for adventures. But it turns out adventures are right outside your door! Maybe you can try a new restaurant, make a new friend, or learn how to say hello in a new language!
