Birds I Saw in Manchester, England

Introduction:

When I traveled to Manchester in England, I spent time walking around the city and near the water. I noticed many birds around me. Some were geese walking near the grass, some were pigeons on the sidewalks and many birds were swimming in the water.

What does this creature or plant look like?:

The geese were large birds with long necks and brown and white feathers. The pigeons were smaller and gray. The birds in the water floated calmly and sometimes dove their heads under the water to find food.

How did I feel when I saw it?:

I felt curious and excited watching them. It was interesting to see so many birds living peacefully in a busy city where lots of people were walking around.

Where does it live?:

These birds live near water like lakes, ponds and canals. In Manchester they live in parks and near rivers where there is water and grass.

How does it use its environment to survive?:

The birds use the water to swim and find food like plants and small insects. The grass nearby gives them space to walk, rest and stay safe.

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

Trash and pollution in the water can harm birds if they eat something dangerous.
