Mini Kangaroo? Nope, Meet the Wallaby!

Introduction:

We all know what a kangaroo is, but do you know what a wallaby is? The wallaby is a small marsupial that is much smaller than its big sister, the kangaroo. They are more agile than kangaroos, can eat toxic plants and can jump over one meter into the air! Let's look closer at wallabies, Australia's small but mighty hopper!

What does this creature or plant look like?:

Wallabies are small, furry marsupials with strong back legs, long tails for balance and large ears. They usually have soft brown, gray or reddish fur; some having stripes or white markings on their face and chest. While they are pretty similar to normal kangaroos, there are some differences. For example, their hind legs are shorter and more compact than kangaroos, which makes them better at hopping around in forests and rocky places. In addition, they are smaller and more colorful than kangaroos, and their fur sometimes shows a mix of different shades to help them blend into their surroundings.

How did I feel when I saw it?:

When I saw a wallaby coming towards me for the first time, I was scared. Even though it looked cute and harmless, this was still a foreign animal that I had never encountered before. But when it moved its head gently towards me, asking for food, I was amazed. It had no fear of people whatsoever and came towards us!
