The City of Lyon, France

This weekend I traveled to Lyon, France, located in the central part (or southern part, if you ask a Parsian…) of France. Lyon is a city of historical importance and remains a culturally rich city of France. Indeed, some Lyonnais (the name given to people from Lyon) would consider the city the true culinary capital of France (though without including Brittany’s galettes this is hard to imagine).

Lyon is also home to the École normale supérieure de Lyon (or ENS Lyon). ENS Lyon is a public university dedicated to preparing researchers and teachers through specialized teaching and degree programs. There are four ENS schools in France: ENS Lyon, ENS Rennes, ENS Paris-Saclay, and ENS Ulm (often simply ENS). Each ENS is organized differently, sometimes in complex ways, but the overall structure and goals are the same.

The InterQ

Each year, a number of events are organized bringing together students from each of the ENSs. Among these events is the InterQ.
