Bonjour, everyone!  I hope that my time abroad in Canada has inspired you to want to study abroad someday, too!  As you make your decisions in the future, there are some important considerations.

First, if you want to study abroad, you should first consider whether you have a dream study abroad location and or if you are open to exploring other locations.  Next think about how long you want your experience to be... six weeks? One semester, or two semesters.

Once you have thought through these two decisions, look into the different programs that your university offers and determine what type of program works best for you.  You can choose a program that is affiliated with your home university or one that is not affiliated. I chose affiliated programs because the financial aid that I receive at my home university would be applicable. Next, meet with an advisor to explore program options and create a list of programs that offer courses relevant to your major or that interest you. If you already have a specific country in mind, ideally you would look for programs in that country.
