Earlier this year, I had the chance to travel to Morocco for three days. Morocco is a country in North Africa right below Spain. I visited two cities in the northern part of Morocco called Tangier and Chefchaouen. Chefchaouen has the nickname, “The Blue City,” because almost all the buildings and many of the roads in the city are painted blue.
Even though I was only there for three days, I did so many activities. I’ll share my favorite activities below.
I ate lunch at a local restaurant. I visited a local restaurant called Restaurant Sed Nakhla ( مطعم سد النخلة) with an awesome view of a lake. The water was so blue, and it looked like a picture from a postcard. I ordered chicken kebabs, which came with French fries and salad. My meal was very tasty.
I hiked a mountain and saw the sunset from the top of the city. In Chefchaouen, I hiked the mountain in the center of the city with my traveling group. At the top of the mountain, there is a cafe and an area for people to sit and look at the city below. We hiked up the mountain just in time to watch the sunset from the top.
