Picos de Europa

Back in November, I traveled with several friends to the Picos de Europa (European Peaks) National Park in nearby Asturias. Check out some of the mountain views that we saw!

Here, at about 2,000m (6,000ft) elevation, the snow stays on the ground for most of the year
The view from this spot is called La vista de la reina (The Queen's view), as Queen Isabelle II apparently really liked this spot
We made the long, winding climb up in a taxi van which, our host said had gone up and down the mountains probably 5,000 times!
