Courseulles-sur-Mer and Juno Beach

This weekend, a couple of friends and I took a bus to the seaside town of Courseulles-sur-Mer, located in the region called Normandy. It is a quiet beach town with a lot of history!

At this small pier that reached out into the water, the smell of the cool sea breeze was everywhere
The town had a lot of monuments dedicated to the liberation of France in World War II, such as the cross behind me

This tank was recovered from the sea and put up as a monument to recognize the Canadians who fought in the war
It's a bit strange to see a red telephone box here, because phone boxes like these are typically British!
Seagulls are everywhere at Courseulles
