Jodhpur's Strays

In July 2016, Animals Home Society reported that the twelve people employed by the city’s municipal corporation to deal with the stray dogs would capture about 100 dogs a month and leave them at the Animal Home Society. However, this barely scratches the surface of the problem. For example, in 2016, an average of 200 people a month went to the government hospital to be treated for dog bites. Considering how many puppies I see on the streets every day, I do not think the ABC initiative has been successful in Jodhpur.  This is a problem that the community will need to continue to work on.
