






But interestingly enough, Ghana and Senegal still shared some similarities. For example, many Senegalese people are Muslim like the Ghanaians in Tamale. Football is also a popular sport in Senegal. In the evenings, Senegalese men and women take to the street to jog, exercise, and play ball in the sand. The countries are far apart, but they are still interesting to compare and contrast.
Before Fulbright, I did not travel outside of the United States. Time and and a lack of money prevented me from traveling. Now, with the Fulbright Program's help, I have landed in four West African countries. They include Ghana, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and Togo. I learn more about the world with each country I land in and how people are similar and different across the world!
