Let me first start off by saying, this is the longest I've ever stayed in a country other than the one I usually call home: the United States. Therefore, I've been able to notice the different climate, here, and how it effects the people living here, myself included. I hope by the end of this article, you take a look at your own environment and consider what makes yours different from that of Timor-Leste.
What makes Timor-Leste so different from the U.S is that Timor-Leste only has two seasons! I'm sure you can guess one of those seasons, if you remember our noisy zoom call a while back! That's right, Timor has a rainy season and a dry season! The rainy season begins in November and lasts until June, then the dry season runs until October. This was very interesting for me to experience compared to being in the U.S because we have four seasons, here. My favorite season here in Timor-Leste is, of course, the dry season because I can go to the beach, and it's easier to dry my clothes outside during that time of year.
