Our News

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I went to an amazing museum exhibit about a playwright that I really like and whose play “Yerma” we are reading in one of my classes! In the museum there was a canvas that was sliced in half! That was the whole piece! To me it just explained how air can be changed by your attitude.

What did I read this week?:

I read 4 different plays: "Yerma" by Federico García Lorca, and 3 plays by Caryl Churchill: “Kill,” “Bluebeard's Friends” and “Glass.” These texts were all assigned for class but are so interesting and fun to dive into and see how different playwrights write.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

In one of my classes, we played a game where one person sits down in a chair with their eyes closed and sitting on their hands. Everyone else in the class would walk up to the person sitting in the chair and put their inner elbow under their nose, and the person in the chair would try and guess who it was! We couldn't talk, touch, or help the person in the chair at all, but surprisingly one of my classmates guessed all of us correctly!

Other news from this week:

It was my first week of classes, and I have been having so much fun learning again. I will start taking pictures and videos of my classes and what it looks like to study performing art in college!
