My First Chuseok!

Chuseok is a great time to visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, the largest palace in Seoul that dates back to 1395. It's free to visit during the holiday and serves as a hub for learning about Korea's dynasties and ancient history, similar to the way we learn about history during Thanksgiving. Historically, Seoul was a walled-off city. As South Korea evolved from having a king, to being ruled by Japan, to having the democracy we know today, Gyeongbokgung has maintained its status as a connection to the past, in a city that continues to change.
