A tour of ancient Israel: Caesarea National Park

In the picture I've attached, you will see a standing structure near the sea with a white cloth enveloping four columns-- it looks somewhat like a tent. This structure is known as a chuppah and can be seen at all Jewish weddings. A chuppah is a canopy beneath which the Jewish marriage ceremony takes place, overseen by the Rabbi, a religious Jewish teacher. The chuppah is a temporary, sanctified area for the bride and the groom and is usually located outside. This canopy represents the new home that the newlyweds will eventually build with one another. This couple had one of the most gorgeous settings of any wedding ceremony I've seen! What do you guys think?

Finally, after a very long day, Josh and I decided to do another one of our favorite activities, which is eating! My father sent me an article about a famous shawarma spot in Hadera, Israel, called "Shawarma Shauli Express." After taking a bite of the juicy meat, I could see what he was talking about! This was a perfect end of our day and time before the holiday season. I hope you all enjoyed hearing about our time here in Caesarea!
