Hello kids! I will miss our meetings. It was so much fun traveling with Signor Gufo and sharing my adventures in Italy with all of you. Signor Gufo flew home a week ago and even brought a friend with him! He also brought some Italian treats to share. If you have not received them yet, they will be there soon!
Traveling to another country has been such an exciting adventure. I will still be here for a few more months, and I will come home in July, during the summer. I am definitely looking forward to eating a burrito again, since they do not really have them here!
There are some big differences between California and Italy. People speak Italian, eat different kinds of food and have different customs. But there are also many similarities that make me feel at home. For example, I saw some kids playing sword fight with balloon animals. I bet some of you have played that game too!
Kids here also play hide and seek, but they call it nascondino. When I see them on their way to school on the city bus, they stay close to their caregivers and smile and laugh when they see their friends.
