But maybe it was rare or special and we didn’t know it? Minding our budgets, we left with only our memories of the place.
Last on our journey, after crossing a busy intersection, we were surprised to find an amazing chocolate shop. Not only did it have row upon row of homemade chocolate treats, it also had some large sculptures on display. My jaw dropped when I saw one of these in particular—it was a life-size model of an ancient Egyptian coffin mask, made entirely out of chocolate!
Walking around Paris, you just never know what you’re going to find. It was easy to see why people like seeing Paris after dark, though. When all of the streetlamps and other lights come on, the city is transformed into a brilliant, starry display. My friends and I had quite the adventure that amazing night!
