For my birthday, my dad and I went to a special dinner at a bistronomique restaurant (pronounced bee-stro-no-MEEK). The word mixes bistro, a small, cozy restaurant serving classic French food, with gastronomique, which means very fancy, artistic cooking. These chefs take classic recipes and make them look and taste like fine dining, and you can find many of these places at good prices if you go further from the city center in Paris.
