Of course, there are still plenty of hills to climb in Brazil: Black people are still among the least educated, least represented in government, and most overly policed. Yet, from the friends I've made in the months I've been here, I know that work is being done to help Brazil reach its goals of ending racism and achieving equality for Black Brazilians.
