Global Warming and Italian Wine

The Italian wine industry is a good example of how all these things are connected. Farmers aren't just trying to figure out how to grow grapes in warmer temperatures. They're also trying to protect the reputation and history of the wines their regions are known for, while keeping their businesses profitable. I think the most interesting part of this situation is the challenge of balancing tradition with change. Before researching this topic, I mostly thought of traditional agriculture as continuing to do things the way they had always been done. Now I know that climate change is forcing farmers to rethink that approach.

Sometimes, preserving a tradition doesn't mean keeping everything exactly the same. Sometimes, the only way to keep it alive is to be willing to do things differently.
