Studying abroad was always a dream of mine, and after a previously stressful year, I quickly found myself in Costa Rica for my Spring semester! Costa Rica is known as one of the “happiest countries in the world”. With the lush and colorful flora and fauna, pura vida lifestyle, and the sun shining on your face constantly...it has been an absolute joy living somewhere as drastically different from Louisville as Costa Rica! Costa Rica is located in Central America, right on the equator. This allows the region to provide the perfect conditions for tropical rainforest to flourish and for biodiversity to thrive. It is a wonderful country to study abroad in as a student who is studying both Biology and Spanish!
