"One goodbye less" - Europe Holidays

Markets are a way of expressing the city's essence.

I was with my friends for both Christmas and New Year's, and we tried food like l'Entrecot, another popular dish in Paris, where they serve you steak with fries. The cool thing is you can repeat your trips to the markets. We walked in Paris every single night we spent there; it was magical, but super cold. I don't know when you get used to the city, but for me, every time I see the Eiffel Tower, it's like I'm seeing it for the first time. As cliché as it might sound, it reminds me of what I've achieved and what I will keep dreaming of.

For New Year's, we went to a party, which was new to me because I always spent New Year's with my family. I called twice to celebrate, at my 12:00 midnight in Madrid, and then at theirs. It is also weird because this time I felt there was no pause during the holidays. In past years, going back to Colombia felt like a break, where I wasn't thinking of what was coming next, but this time, it felt like the ball just kept rolling. But that is good too, as we said with my friends, that was "one goodbye less with our family", and I won't complain about that.

Now I'm preparing to register for classes for my second semester in Paris, hoping to meet new cool people and make the best out of the city.
