Our News

What activity was the most fun this week?:

The most fun activity was getting to know the other travelers in our hostel. Hostels are good for seasoned travelers becuase they are so cheap, and often have shared common areas where you can socialize with the other people staying there. I met one person named Asker, who was from Denmark but talked with an Australian accent. He told me about his travels all over Europe, and he frequently came with us when we went out into the city.

What did I read this week?:

I didn't read much, mostly because I was on the move so often. Also, we used an airline called Peach, which was very affordable but very strict with how much your luggage weighed. I didn't have any extra space to bring a book.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

My friends taught me a game called Mafia. The way it works is one person from the group is the gamemaster. The game starts with everyone closing their eyes, and the gamemaster taps three people on the shoulder. These people are the mafia, a detective and a nurse. Everyone else is civillians. Then, he says "Mafia wake up," and whoever is the mafia wakes up and points at a person they want to eliminate from the game. Then the nurse wakes up, and chooses one person they want to save, but, they're really only guessing, because the person who is playing the mafia can eliminate anybody. Then, the detective wakes up, and chooses one person they want to know the identity of, thinking that person might be the mafia. The gamemaster can either nod yes or no, depending if the person they chose is really the one playing the mafia. Only one person can wake up at the same time, so nobody knows who anybody else is.
