See You Later, London!

There were times where I was so overwhelmed with school work that I really wanted to just stay in all weekend, but thinking of you guys really pushed me to take a second to decompress by exploring my surroundings. While I’m going to miss London a lot, I am really looking forward to getting back home. I am so excited to be done with final exams and papers, and I also miss my family a lot. Also, the exploring I’ve done here has made me realize how much I take for granted back home in the United States. I’ve realized I was not appreciating all of the interesting things there are to do back in New York because I was always rushing through life. I am glad I’ll get to go back to school in the fall with a newfound appreciation for all that New York City has to offer. I want to encourage you guys to also go out and explore your own neighborhoods with brand new eyes. Maybe go to a new museum, or even just do your homework in a park!

I truly want to thank you for following me on my journey here in London. I feel like I have learned so much since I dared to cross the Atlantic Ocean just four months ago. I’ve learned to say yes to new opportunities. I’ve become fiercely independent, and I’ve learned that I can always find beauty in new places and new people. I hope along the way I’ve inspired you guys to also reach outside of your comfort zones. Who knows? Maybe someday one of you will be writing for a classroom as part of Reach the World yourselves!
