My family and I are from Haiti. I grew up speaking French and Creole. Even as a child, I loved learning because I was gravely sick, and reading and studying were how I saw and travelled the world. At age nine I migrated with my family to the United States. Many doors were opened to me, then. My health improved; I received free education and more opportunities. The world became bigger, and my mind expanded. I love books, so I read a lot and learn about the world around me. In high school and at college, I took as many language courses I could; so far, I've studied Spanish, Japanese and Italian. I'm currently working towards Korean. This amazing opportunity to study in South Korea is a dream come true with my hard work being paid off by this experience. So, my fellow travelers join me on my journey!
