A Teen's Typical Day in Puebla

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

My father brings me to school in a car and then he goes to work. I never go to school by myself because I would have to take three buses.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

I eat in the kitchen, but when my mom is happy and in a good mood, I get to eat in my room. My grandma is from Italy, so my favorite food is lasagna.

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak English and Spanish at school. I speak English with one of my friends when we go on Facebook and with my English teacher. Spanish, of course, is my native language. To say hello in Spanish, you say "hola."

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

Some common names and their nicknames are: Guadalupe (Lupita), Maria (Mari), Juan (Juancho), Pedro, Angelica (Angi), Luis, Eduardo (Lalo) and Jesus (Chucho).

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

I study calculus, Spanish, English, history, tourism, business, physics and biology. I like tourism because we talk about other countries. I like looking at the pictures and learning the history of architecture. I like English, too, because you can speak it all over the world. It's an important language.

What is your homework like?:

I have a lot of homework. Half of it is done on the computer and the other half is written.

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

After school, I watch videos on YouTube and Netflix.
