Slovak Birds of Prey

By showing birds connected to the country, falconers encourage people to become interested in the animals and help protect them.

How does it use its environment to survive?:

The birds have brown and white feathers that allow them to blend in with their surroundings so their prey can't see them when they hunt. They normally wait on high branches or cliffs to watch for animals such as mice or small birds before swooping down and catching them with their sharp talons.

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

Some things that harm these animals include habitat loss, which leads to less hunting ground; tall structures that are easy to fly into; and certain pesticides that can poison birds. As a result of theser problems, many birds are becoming endangered. Falconry shows can help raise awareness about laws that prevent birds from being harmed, thus showing people why they should care about these amazing animals.
