People are going to be less enclined to spend a day at the lake when it's rainy outside!
Since I've been living in Berlin, I've discovered that Berliners have a motto: there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. During the winter, I still saw many people biking to work in freezing temperatures. Since it is cold here for such a long time, people have figured out how to enjoy nature regardless of the weather. The cold also makes people appreciate nice weather much more! Every time it's sunny out, nearly everybody makes it a priority to spend time outside.
