More Bread Please!

Since being in Denmark, I’ve grown the habit of eating bread and pastries with most meals, whether that be as a sandwich or a swirl of sweet cardamom. This habit, especially with rye bread and fish, has been a core part of the Nordic diet for centuries, even dating back to the Viking Age! The ingredients were plentiful, hardy and lasted for a long time. Now, because of industrialization, more fresh produce and meat have incorporated themselves into the Danish diet for people to enjoy.
