Transportation in Zambia and Botswana

They had never seen people in spandex bike shorts, so they thought we looked a little silly. The locals wore whatever they had to bike in, from flip flops to their bare feet!

All of these modes of transportation are far more environmentally friendly than personal cars, but some of these modes can be quite unsafe. Road accidents are very common in Zambia, Botswana and Namibia, and people avoid being on the roads at night. When you include wildlife to the mix of all of the other exisiting dangers, it can be very dangerous.
