It never hurts to ask a teacher, guidance counselor or any other trusted adult. I will be back at Jefferson next year so if you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me!
If you need any more convincing, throughout my time here I’ve been able to become friends with people from across México and learn so much about things specific to this region, like local slang, food and dancing, to name a few. I also completed my student teaching in ESL classes in addition to art, history and science classes, and learned many different styles of teaching as well as a lot about how to teach new subjects. I also became better at advocating for myself, asking for help and being flexible in new situations. Traveling is a great way to learn about yourself and the world around you so if you’re at all interested, I would encourage you to explore studying abroad!
Thank you all for following along with my journey and asking thoughtful questions about México! It has been amazing to share the journey with you. I hope you have a great end of the school year (good luck with finals) and a beautiful summer! ¡Hasta la próxima! Until next time!
